Ugh, there is nothing that drags a story down more than having secondary characters constantly glazing the MC. One should allow the reader to sit and ruminate on what the MC’s actions constitute.
It fosters a stronger connection to the MC if the reader themselves concludes that the actions are great, rather than having it blatantly stated by a side character.
