Understand why people reacting like “oh no, another info dump backstory to make you feel sad for the freshly introduced character” it’s a cheap and annoying method that everyone seems to be relying on.
That said, it’s actually a decent backstory, not the most unique by any means but believable enough; mom was a crackhead who sold her daughter to human trafficers where she was abused daily for years
Then one day when she thought she was rescued, she ends up in the hands another more abusive manipulator.
