If I was going to do “why” response; I would have event more along the lines of this for a psycho like the prince.
“Your audacity and courage in front of the Queen… The excitement was intoxicating, I could only imagine a trilling life with someone as bold as you.”
Then throw in a recovering line to remind him you aren’t completely bonkers.
“BUT… Even if the feelings aren’t mutual; I can somewhat understand what you are dealing with as a fellow family “mad-dog” and I wouldn’t mind learning the more nuanced side of you as well; even if as friends.”
