A principled position would be to never issue commands to those you consider family using the slave system that makes them faint from pain if they resist that command.
The only possible exception might be to save them – eg when they are trying to fight an opponent who is too strong.

Loosing skillpoints doesn’t seem very attractive, espacially up to 20%, thats a goddamn lot.
Instead she should have stayed with her mind magic and level up to gain enough points for the space magic.
