This is not about fame or standing out, this is about how, objectively, this is just a really bad written, stupid, OP-MC.
How he deals with those guys wanting to steal Lizas spear, I can barely excuse him for that, he was thinking about how to deal with them *albeit slowly …….* while he got rescued by this other noble. THO, they DID pull a sword on his group so they got away with it way, way, way to lax for their agressive greed. Not necessarily an MC problem, but an author problem.
The way this whole Muno territory was displayed is just an utter pathetic show of how he is a stone statue just there for observing how problems become so big they actually turn into problems.
He looked at all things that could harm his girls taking mental notes and then absolutely ignoring them. He saw a demon (hello, he just came from a town a demon went rampage, remember? 2 in-story-weeks ago …) and … yeah, its in the city he’s going to visit, inside the castle, who cares~
Oh look, the demon is fiddling with goblins, one night later there are thousands of them. Who cares~
Oh look, a fortress with 700 bandits on our way, who cares~

Its not about fame or standing out. He repeatedly went out at night to do stuff himself, he could do exactly that, erasing the goblins, no need for Meteors, just go in, burry them underground, done. Same with the Bandits. They became the playtoys of the demon, probably with an agonizing death being turned into undead to attack Muno city back then. Could have been completely avoided, hell, he maybe even could’ve just shoo’d them away by destroying their fort without outright killing them.
So. Many. Possibilities.
Of all of them he choses to use his map to explore everything and then totally do absolutely NOTHING about it, even in secret!
He wants a relaxing journey to enjoy food and scenery? Guess what, Demons follow other plans and this MC looks at it, just coming from a demon-experience, and decides its not his business even tho he is actually heading for the city it is in … … until it “SUDDENLY” actually is.
