actually, the spleen while not vital is definitely useful against infection and storing various things like up to a cup of extra blood in case you lose some and iron. in a world like murim where there is a lot of filth around and since she seemed to spend a lot of time outside and very likely getting various small cuts and scrapes every now and again like anyone that commonly spends a great amount of time outside so the spleen would be even more important as its a good guard against infection. her goal is to be a martial artist that goes around doing good. that tends to involve getting injured making the spleen storing various things and again the guard against infection even more useful.
in short in the real world our lifestyle and general cleanliness throughout many first world places make the spleen less useful than in the murim world where everything the spleen does comes into play much more often
I seriously question why they are wearing masks and surgical clothes in murim? Was it the mc’s idea?
