This series is so weird sometimes. That bet makes no sense. They just had a heated arguement about which disciple is best, and then he makes a bet to overcome his own student. Thats a bet from a weakened position assuming that the MC is indded the better student in terms of growth. And making this bet basically makes him forfeit the discussion they just had.

I get it’s easy to get annoyed when regressors show emotional immaturity, but mechanics like inhibition and self-regulation are closely linked to biology. So it can be explained by them physically being children, so their brains are still developing 🙂

Whose thought bubble is it in the final panel? Russel himself is likely not thinking “Raymond” a few panels earlier, so is it possible that his new friend/rival also regressed?
