I’ve seen a lot of people calling the MC weak, dumb, etc. for a while, and I understand. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how stupid the villain is? He had the MC in his hand, literally, and decided that the best way to kill him would be to toss him into a nebulous rift in space instead of just doing it the good ol’ fashioned way. Sure, sure, he wanted him to suffer, but how much personal hatred could he really have felt for the guy to risk messing things up just for the little giddy he’d get off of it?
