The whole idea that the girls are NPCs is such a contrived writing device made to shut down any sexual actions/implications in the story.
Its also pathetic that Shoujo for teenage girls has sex and implied sex but these companies literally refuse to allow male audience to have any romance/sex/implied sex in these stories.
So they make them stupid, unaware, shy, virgins. Its just stupid.
Literally 90% of Shoujo (NOT 18+) have romance with actual shipping. Kissing. Sex. Implied sex.
Yet shounen etc, literally beats around the bush EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. They almost NEVER have legitimate shipping in male focused stories.
Why is that? Seriously why?
