Why though? Why did the Winged Lion cursed Laios? Laios basically freed it from its eternal suffering of never ending need for eating desire.

Throughout my time reading this manga and seeing all of these things, I’m very interested and each panel reminds me of the song “cake”. Especially the part “I am just a piece of cake” and “your just a piece of meat” like the meat being the people, being flesh and blood and living creatures, while the “cake” is the demons, being artificial but can be made of living things too, demons feast off of the desire, cake is made from desire of humans and animals. The desire of humans is a sweet treat to eat and enjoy, like the demons, and the desire of the animals is to live, making us the ingredients of cake. A cow wants to grow and live, and as it does it makes milk, used in cake. And the eggs from chickens are from there will to live and keep living, making eggs to grow their young, which is used in cake as well. A cake made from the desires of others. Live demons made from the desire of living things.
