Somehow, I can see them ultimately becoming frenemies, at least until the prince isn’t useful anymore. Or the MC could just kill him and take his artifact… Or Skye could end up with it and become a villain

And now the author decided to temporarily nerf the MC before beating the royal ass by revealing his weakness to poison putting him at a disadvantage at a high time. Mmm, some dramatic struggle is coming… only to be heroicly overcome, ofc.
