Im hoping that old fogey knows Kayden didnt do it, but is trying to smoke out the real culprit… if not, then the story’s writing would have enter the “less than mediocre” tier from the “peak” tier…
I’m pretty disappointed in this plot turn. Veramonte seemed like a smart old guy. More than bit blind to his family transgressions, but he understand Kayden and he would know that Kayden would never bother with assassination, because it’s not in his personality.
Meh, I won’t get along this time. It’s too cringe to frame Kayden just using electric stuff. I hope in the next chapter the old man doesn’t want to fight. Instead, I hope he realizes someone is trying to frame Kayden and asks to help resolve this. If not, the story writer should take a hiatus to clear his mind.
Man, ngl, it was dumb to frame Kayden. I don’t know how anyone thought that was smart. What would Kayden even gain from this? And it was so obvious from Jurion’s “Acting” that he was at the very least involved in it. Nah, Patrick family you were cool (Except Jurion) for me at first, but this whole thing just makes it look like they don’t have brains.

Maybe the author is attempting to introduce us to the power of Veramonte. Because him jumping to conclusion as a head family and what not is childish in my prospective. As an “Isolated Top 10” with recent incident, he should have put more guards on the new elected heir.
