There used to be an 8 story apartment building in my town that got so infested with bed bugs that the city tented the whole thing and gassed it twice but the infestation remained so after the last one actually led a fully suited hazmat team through the city declared it a public emergency and decided to go the nuclear route and burned it down to rubble. It took 3 days and they had logs to fuel the fire dropped in twice, they put up cement highway dividers all the way around and had a bunch of logs trucked in and placed around the outside and had holes punched through the exterior walls in strategic places to alloy the fire to get inside because the wanted to burn it from the outside in to drive the bugs inward instead of outside, they even brought in a bunch of dogs and their handlers that were trained for bed bug detection to patrol a safe distance from the fire.
