Rereading this after looking at the novel. He was handed wave candy that’s sort of salty and a unique flavor! It becomes his favorite candy later.
Since he can understand what animals are thinking he thinks of them as people instead of a friend or pet. But, each an everyone of them as an individual with their own feelings. This is an awesome story with a protag who’s power hasn’t been properly explained before. I think it’s a great way of showing it in the way the power would actually make you feel if you had it.

I personally dont like most girls with glasses and find that few can pull off the look…..she cannot id rather her just not wear glasses especially if she’s a romantic interest.
