The only downside besides feeling the pain from the deaths, is that you have to continuously listen to some dumb lines from whomever killed you
If the death doesn’t leave any trauma ..the power itself is OP… MC learning to fight is not needed ..he could have been a strategist or a spy ..that would be much better story
