i think this is where I was at the last time I read this
Hmm~ I can’t say if I’m annoyed or not.
On the one hand, the army is wasting their time and ammunition on monsters who treats it as pebbles. While its a realistic approach, they can clearly see that none of their assults are working, and after knowing this, they’re continuing to do so anyway.
On the other hand, if their wasting their ammunition because they realize it will be useless later on, and they’re currently replacing the older and weaker ammunition with newer and stronger ammunition (Like stronger materials that developed from mana), then I guess it makes sense.
They also could be buying time for citizens to evacuate, but if that is the case, then all of the citizens who are unable to fight should just go to the otherworld so it’s less cause for time, effort, and causalities.
Otherwise, the only reason they’re here is for damage control, but they’re just making it worse by fighting them.
I don’t know, maybe I’m reading too much into it.

How do they even know that he is sungain bolt with a completely different build and mask?
What i dont like so far is that they are still using firearms and things of the sort. We know that nukes won’t even harn higher level monsters only mana can which is why im annoyed the army hasn’t realized this yet even after so long
