Stupid. Terrible writing originating from the ingrained Japanese inability to say “no”. The correct answer is “go play in traffic” if someone tries to coerce you into gambling your freedom for an insincere apology. An apology he’s forced to give because you beat him up is not an apology he actually means. This is dumb.
