The kill all the heros bit sounds like something the publisher pushed on the author.
Series axed at this point – guessing the publisher didn’t like what the next part was going to do.

I suspect that the Earth Hero is related to the cause of the swarm – that chimera timing was and his arrival was just a bit too suspicious.

The chimera thing was probably one of the Earth Hero’s ‘pets’ that escaped from his farm where he breeds them.
