They’re just milking this ” I have bad fate!” thing when it comes to his old squad.
Like, he already made the conviction NOT to push them away.
Now the author made it as I’d that entire story beat never existed.
Although in retrospect, mental trauma and terrible experiences aren’t solved in a day. I can also understwnd that he still needs the time and effort and a push from others to break out of his past shell.
Still, I’m leaning more towards my former point here. It’s annoying and just adds useless, senseless drama imo.
