Gender is simple physical, biological, and medical reality. The word has always been (until 15 minutes ago) a synonym of sex, but without being confused with intercourse (another meaning of sex). Therefore it gets used more often than sex.
Gender is a part of what you are, not who you are. Your individuality is a separate matter, and that’s within your power to choose, because it isn’t tied to the mere circumstances of your birth. Your individuality is also way more important.
People conflate the two, and it leads to too much tragedy. Don’t define yourself by the Gender Roles associated with your sex (as Gender Ideology would have you do). Just be who you are, without obsessing over the labels, then you can find long-term happiness, serenity, and self-love.
