Dang, this is even worse than current prison slave-labor. Since they can hide memories does he even remember his crime (and did he even actually commit one)? I have a lot of doubts about this system where you can work 800 years and not even be a 5th of the way to getting out. (And can you even call it re-education when he’s just out there on his own getting occasional work assignments?) This is just mad shady
