Frieren at the Funeral - Chapter 102

NGL I think it’s kinda boring on how Fern seems to always be the trump card because of her 2 traits – speed/mana control. Im sure that Frieren is trying to teach Fern even is such situations, but Ferns character development went a bit stale.

If there is a thing that I am sure of, it’s that Frieren could’ve killed Solitär despite her statements on manacontrol/reactiontime/density. That is what makes her internal dialog feel so empty. We got a tease of Frierens true power in the copy battle and when she killed another sage. We can be 99% sure that even Serie can not see her actual mana pool.

Frieren, a mage spending thousands of years has spells and knowledge beyond our understanding yet I can not shake the feeling that our dear mangaka is waiting to reveal frierens true power.

What would be more fun to write/read?

Fern – a promising human mage eventually being the pinnical of human mages, being teached by Frieren to bring a new chapter of mages and magic – the human era… OR
Frieren – a mage who has mastered all, done all, knows all, been everywhere – killing all enemys within a split second with no challenge whatsoever.

GOD DAMN I LOVE THIS MANGA.
