he couldve gained her trust loyalty and devotion another way like show up to protect her or sheild her from those ppl and make her see them for who they truly are and use that god image to tell her to follow tian blindly because he is the apostle of god , but i guess this works too , mnipulation at its finest hahhaha

I’ve got a better idea for what he should have done: showed her his reincarnation into this world – a human in goblin skin, protecting a human female from other goblins, betrayed and tortured by the church. Then, have god say that he’s a test for the church, that it failed because it’s corrupted, and that now this goblin is god’s avenger, here to deliver judgement for their sins. Link that to her treatment by the people and church as proof that they’re evil – it would be so easy for her to become completely loyal to him.
