It is better for her to disappear from the drawing at this rate. I understand that translators want to operate with SFW but pick up a manga that obviously doesn’t suit their requirements, it is very hypocritical of them after saying themselves that their work focuses on SFW. Working a manga that have NSFW and change everything they want as they want is disrespectful towards the original job.
Okay, seriously, enough of the censorship. If you don’t like the source material, then just don’t translate it; altering it to suit your own weird SJW tastes is pathetic, and robs anyone else of the opportunity to see the original art and make their own decision. Strictly speaking, she doesn’t have to marry Van since their two houses don’t have any kind of arrangement, and Van is estranged from his own father for the same reason Arut was sent there; they were both thrown away. Going home at this point will probably be the worse option for her, if she has to report that she won’t be marrying Van. They likely won’t really care why, and will simply punish her for what they perceive to be her failure. Since the village and Van accepts all kinds of refugees, she could probably apply for asylum and residency. She’d have to learn to make her own way, but considering her emotional and mental state, she will come to want to depend on Van for showiing her the kindness she never received before. Even if there are no political gains to be had, she’ll probably want to marry him eventually simply for that, lack of confidence in herself, and her own abilities to live on her own.
