You know, at the beginning of the episode I was like F*******CK!!!!!!! because I really want Shiro to win (I’ve always been a sucker for the childhood friend/first crush trope). But after the heart-to-heart conversation they had at the park, I’m surprisingly satisfied with this outcome. I’ve also grown to like Akari a lot, and seeing her heartbroken is too much to bear. So seeing Shiro finally breaking out of her shell and declaring with confidence that she’s not going to shy away anymore, it feels like it’s a fair fight now (of course Akari still has the home advantage, but apart from that both girls have been open about their feelings and Jirou knows that he can freely sort out his feelings and make a choice without feeling pressured). So in the end, however this story will end up, I think I can be satisfied with who he chooses. (still team Shiro though)
