MC is a competent thinker ngl.
Those refugees rules are written by blood, so follow and enforce them is a must for a country.
Or else your country will be like today Europe with criminals and scammers everywhere.

I never did get this part of the story. Why can’t those “wanting to return” live in The Kingdom NOW, find work to support themselves and then eventually go back home. I’m also assuming they have no homes to go back to currently, as their lands have been overrun by the demons. They are basically waiting around in squalor for something beyond their control. Maybe it’s an oversimplification on the part of the author, but it seems off (almost like author is implying all displaced folks are stupid lazy bums).
