This chapter is so meaningful to me. I’m glad they also hit this issue. Many Asian parents push THEIR dream onto their children and if the children don’t want to do it they start abusing them either verbally, mentally, or physically. I’m kind of goin through something like this rn. I wanna go to trade school and just work after high school, but my mom is against it so she’s lowkey doing everything this mom is doing. (besides the drugging) Most parents don’t know their own children’s capabilities and think all children are the same.
