Okay, so I think I managed to piece together the into storyline.
Mc has heard about the skill he just yoinked from that now dead guy, from his past life from the guy he was talking to while loading boxes. In his past life they were probably friends that shared stories before everything went to shit for both of them.
Due to using the reincarnation stone, he was able to get to that guy ahead of schedule and get the skill before his friend got it. I’d say he’s crazy greedy, but in his past life, the friend wasted away because nobody wanted to work with him.
All caught up? Good. I have no idea how accurate it is, but huzzah~
