Damn, I love the storytelling in year one in particular. Don’t get me wrong, Goblin Slayer has great script with his comrades, but his lone avenger thoughts are so peak sometimes.

year one essentially provides hints that goblin slayer is being guided to the opportunity to become a god either during or after his life. he is basically going to be like doom guy killing demons in hell but goblins on the moon.
