GOBLIN SLAYER: SIDE STORY YEAR ONE - Chapter 76
Comments for chapter "Chapter 76"
Girl doesn’t realize several raw facts of life. Her perspective on our main man Goblin Slayer being a product of that.
- Life is full of disgusting and inglorious tasks that need doing
- Often these tasks require a degree of intelligence or skill
- Someone who dedicates their life to completing these tasks is worthy of praise
- A person’s life should be measured not only by their achievements, but by their impact, and how meaningful those achievements were
- Not everyone will be great, and the world is kept running by the unknown, unsung, and determined people who get the dirty jobs done without expectation of acknowledgement or reward (beyond payment from their employer)
Say what you will about GS, but the difference he makes in slaying goblins is far more tangible, and IMHO far more meaningful, because of the impact he has on the average person’s life.
Sure saving the world is important and needs to be done. At the same time however, slaying goblins, thus preventing the rape, murder, and destruction of a village, has a far greater impact on the average person’s life than a hero killing the BBEG from half the world away.
Ranting aside though, love her character. Having someone give GS the gears about his lack of social skills is awesome. Also telling him that he could be so much more than just a goblin-slayer warms the barren wasteland of my heart. Even if she doesn’t appreciate how important having someone to slay all the goblins really is.

And yet again Goblin Slayer changes another life.
