GOBLIN SLAYER - Chapter 103

Priestess really owns nothing but her chain mail. Her clothes, her sounding staff etc belong to her church. Her other equipment belongs to the party. When she bought the chain mail, it was cheap starter armor. But it was hers alone.

And while her faith doesn’t actually forbid armor, it is frowned upon. Her Mother Superior expressed her displeasure at her wearing armor. But Priestess stood firm on the issue and bought it. It also resulted in her first figurative head pat from Goblin Slayer. It also has saved her life on occasion. And it is precious to her. To the point literally everyone tells her to just get new armor rather than constantly repairing it. But is it part of her self identity at this point.

So, for the first time we actually see her be rather foot-stomping upset. She is still the sweet, kindhearted Priestess. But someone really stole part of her identity.

I always got the feeling Goblin Slayer really was on vacation at this point. And as always, perfectly willing to go kill goblins. But he was not obsessed as usual and would have gladly let others deal with it. But it is Priestess that is the impetus for him going after the Princess. She is going with or without him.
