after they showed the healer girl not doing her job and getting attacked they realled needed to make the old party evil to not make us see that the girl was 100% at fault and cuz she let the monster get away
many more could/would have died over that one person she tried to save

I’m pretty sure a couple people are keeping count of the monsters killed, so stabbing someone in broad daylight in front of the king is a pretty good way to get executed.
