Being a plyer of that game, there is something wrong between pages 3 and 4:
given the placement in page 3, it should have been her taking the corner just on her left, not him.
Then the empty slot left next to it on her left side, then that side.
Having a first corner advantage would not have resulted in the picture on page 4, he had no possibility to take that corner at that time
