Ippo needs a major motivation to come back into the ring.
It pains me, but it’s likely that he will witness a painful event (Master death? Or Kawamura’s forced retirement cause he’s going blind?) it will become a promise to fulfill and he will then gain the right motive and it’ll push Hippo’s comeback on the ring as a boxer…

alright here’s a prediction, Ricardo will beat wally but he wont stay down so Ricardo hits harder and harder till he breaks wally – angering ippo so much that he gets back in the ring just to “avenge” wally and show Ricardo how it feels to be broken to that extent. then again thats not like ippo at all, Idk what the trigger will be but im sure it’ll be something powerful like that. we’ll see demon ippo again for sure
