Everyone knows Ippo is coming back to the ring. It’s just the matter of what the catalyst is to bring him back.
Something drastic would need to happen for him to feel obligated to come back to resolve all the loose ends.
I can only see something happening to Takamura or Kamogawa that brings him back.
Not sure if Sendo losing to Ricardo is enough but we’ll see.
Judging from my rough calculations. It’ll take the end of 2024 for both Mashiba and Sendo’s fight to resolve.
Morikawa seems to be skipping minor fights for the other Kamogawa gymmates recently, so the pace may pick up.
It’s going to be still a couple of years before Ippo gets into the ring with Miyata, I’m confident it will happen but it will probably be a while.
Finally catching up to Ippo, I’ll finish the Mashiba world title fight and then wait a year or so for the next volume to come out.
