With the way he’s talking about how she smells like a different person, i suspect he’s not human. Possibly a beastman or demon. Closer to that of a demon, because demons are supernatural creatures. This guy could smell that she’s a different person, despite the fact that the only thing that changed was her soul. Beastmen wont be able to smell a difference ins souls, but a demon should be able to. Plus, Cleo summoned the Demon King, so its not too far fetched to assume that she summoned this guy first while trying to summon the demon king.

i’m honestly not a big fan of these types of characters, especially when its some creepy guy coming in trying to second wheel a already good situation, it just seems too easy of a plot “twist”
