Holy crap, haven’t seen a Deus ex machina moment like this in a while.
I love the art style and the concept of gatcha being a skill is interesting so I’ll keep reading.
But between the constant flow of cartoon style bad guy relatives that want to kill him and this new plot armor, this story is really pushing the buck.
Seriously that wound looks bad but at most it hit one of his lungs. And it appears to be cauterized on top of that. While I’m sure it’s unpleasant, this is hardy a wound that would put someone like him on his ass, much less deaths door.
Also, I have to criticize that mesh. While it’s not particularly bad, I would have made the edge flow continue from the upper chest on into the upper sholder area for much better deformation.
