Reminds me of the communal gumbo events my godfather’s folks sometimes had, everyone’d bring a couple ingredients and work together to get it cooked, then enjoy it in the evening. Could easily feed 12-15 people per pot.

Never had it, so I’ll just assume it’s nice since he cooked it. Except anything raw like sashimi. I don’t like those.
