What I find strange is that the oldest child in the possible grandfather’s mind is 17 yet everyone looks the same age. It’s just funny that he’d have a newborn and a 17yo with 3 other kids closer in age to the newborn.
He’s in her age range, so I care much less than others do apparently; despite the body swapping. And I’m not someone with nuanced opinions on the age of consent. But a. No one knows who he is, and b. This isn’t about romance anyway, so it’s strange to read a fanbase cringing at something that’s not going to happen anyway?

I think it’s of note here that there’s been no mention so far that this dude had any wife or children in his former body. He lived a long time, mastered enough crazy martial arts to not only become but remain the leader of the alliance until the soul swap shenanigans, and from some of his recollections travelled extensively during that lifetime. Unless the author is hiding something from us, maybe he was just the kind of guy who couldn’t settle down, which would compound his inability to see these girls as anything but grandchildren and lead to him becoming fairly aromantic
