MC’s hostility and wariness to hero is premature. His attitude unreasonable except if his core shaken to potential rival or other inferiority toward hero. Tbh, that’s ugly.

if they need aren to help them why dont just give the ring to him? he will raise his level faster with that ring. if you wanna show his skills just create a plot like when he save cecil.

I don’t trust the hero at all, usually when the protagonist is not the hero, the real hero ends up being a villain or a useless hero or the demon king himself
