It’s so satisfying when the MC Pledges allegiance to the actual people that have helped him. With the Prince being scared it shows there were plans against the Viscount. The anime of this will probably be a letdown.
Now thats how you tell a backstory. Introduce the character slowly and finally insert a briefed backstory after they got enough screen.
