One gift? Seriously? You give your main character the power to steal other’s abilities, only to erase them all 150 chapters in, and then limit the number of permanent ones to 1? That sounds terribly lame.
I hope I’m wrong but two directions I could see this going – either the author bends the rules around the temporary gifts even further (in the early chapters it seemed like he was going for one and done kind of a deal, which could actually make compelling reason for killing somebody and taking the gift permanently, while now it’s really vague, the temporary gifts have unspecified number of charges and honestly she’s already been spamming them when convenient) and this rule just ends up being a cheap way to write a power up, or Ihwa will start overusing that 1 gift to annoying degree. I don’t like either of these possibilities.
