I thought for sure he was going to employ his gopher legion to help find their elders. He at least needs to see if they have something with the elders’ smell on them so that he can do that in the future. Maybe just an elf smell in general would work.
It’s strange that he has given up so early. Even with D-grade stones there are many options to try because there many different kinds of reinforcement, right? C-grade would be stronger, but it wouldn’t change much regarding variety of enhancements I think.
