I suddenly noticed something peculiar. Making religious nations bad guys is a common trope, but this time there’s neither a clear, stated “Religious” motivation for what these guys are doing, nor are they using any clearly “Divine” related powers… In fact, other than having cross-shapes on their helmets, they could be from anywhere or nowhere specific at all and their actions would make no more or less sense than they do now.
HA! now I’m thinking too much about this light-hearted manga’s story. Neeeevermind.
