Having been in that kind of predicament, I can understand MC. 
You reaaaaaally need to be well prepared for that stuff beforehand, like wearing an iron swimsuit or something, or have trained 6 months in a buddhist temple to severe your emotions (and one in particular…).

Well. It’s not ideal for him, given his personality… But someday he’ll look back on it and fondly remember the times when he had these opportunities, freedoms and “Casual” relationships which will one day become improper and would threaten whatever relationship he’s committed himself to… (Assuming he actually hooks up with one of them.)
