I didn’t expect my comment in the previous chapter to prove true; she indeed doesn’t respect him as an equal and she’s also a control freak.

She is concerned for his safety, and doesn’t want him taking un-necessary risks. The lectures, as he refers to them, are just her way of blowing off steam and pent up anxiety over his well-being. She KNOWS he is strong, likely more so than anyone else in that village. She actually cares, and this is her way of showing it. It’s more real-world than you think…I do the same thing to people I care about, lol
Actually, “Prez” and MC seem to have unrealized interest in each other. Which explains why she’s always on his case. She doesn’t treat him like he’s useless (in my opinion), but she is consistently worried about his safety. Unfortunately, she has a rather typical tendency for manga/anime female characters of demanding that MC “Shouldn’t do dangerous things.” Even while (in almost all such situations) the reality is …someone had to do it, and there was no one else who had any hope of success.
But honestly her reasons aren’t interesting to me. My only problem with her is the fact that she (again, common to many other female characters of her type) believes that she has the authority to declare what MC can and cannot do.
I mean, she’s not his mother for Pete’s sake.

Can we talk about how this man became this overpowered with crappy skills? But Clas pres is kinda annoying. She never gives him breathing room.
