Can anyone tell me if there was any foreshadowing for this? Like, was there any hint earlier? Or did the author suddenly decide, “Hmm, where should the story go next? Let’s open some big ass portals and have some big ass dudes appear.’
I’m actually serious about this… I’m trying to remember if this was hinted at earlier. The story paused, and then I stopped reading, and I’m only returning now, so my memory is a bit fuzzy.
