To turn charcoal into diamonds, you would need to simulate the conditions found deep within the Earth, where diamonds naturally form. This involves subjecting the carbon in the charcoal to extremely high pressures (equivalent to hundreds of thousands of times atmospheric pressure) and temperatures (around 2000-3000 degrees Celsius). This process is typically performed using high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) machines or chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques in specialized laboratories.
In the HPHT method, the carbon source (charcoal in this case) is placed in a pressure chamber and exposed to high pressures and temperatures while using a catalyst to encourage diamond growth. In the CVD method, a carbon-rich gas is decomposed using a microwave or other energy source to deposit carbon atoms onto a substrate, gradually building up a diamond crystal.

Charcoal is harder to turn into diamond than coal because it has less Carbon, also the pressure needed would turn almost his entire room into dust.

Got distracted by the comments, so I did forget:
It is a myth that diamonds are particular valuable. That is only because the De Beers controlling the supply of the market since the 19th century. All the supply!
If they would release all the ones they have in storage, diamonds would be cheap. If not dirt cheap.
