Pretty dumb. If you’re gonna die anyway. Just risk it all. Have several people bumrush him. Form a train, and sacrifice the person upfront and push everyone through the door, if he can kill all of y’all with one swing, y’all deserve to die. Makes no sense. You’re gonna wait in front of the door until times up? Fight him. Too scared? Grab the heaviest thing you can pick up and throw at him, and rush past him. Have two people charge at him, have the low person dive first and when he tries to swing, have someone tackle him. Y’all acting like he’s a monster or superhuman. They didn’t provide enough rewards to make him unstoppable with just two rounds. Run at him, protecting your head, get through the door, and others would hopefully follow your lead and help you before he can kill you. At the start, gather a group of people and carry a file cabinet and battering ram him. Except for the first few victims,who ever dies deserved it. Fight or find a new safe spot.
How hard is it to subdue one man with a stick? especially an obviously frightened man. A box cutter? How much reach does it have? Can he use it properly? Could he take down a whole mob with it?
Get small desk or whiteboard or anything like that, use it as a riot shield and floor the bastard. Is there a coffee maker or kettle in the office? Give him a nice hot bath. At least throw something at him to startle him and get an opening.
