Grew up in the Shin-oh family? They ditched him at 5 years old. That was a traumatic event so he’d remember that. But any other events were long forgotten by 17 years old. Recognize his sister? Not likely. He hasn’t seen her since she was what 6 years old? Now she’s nearly an adult and has filled out. No way he would recognize her.
